Juzzie’s music tooka fresh step when becoming a Dad, he decided to take to the streets and busk, mostly ending up at markets. This new environment created a new sound and fresh energy from him and from his audience, much different to that he had previously experienced in the pub circuit. This new way has been the inspiration for Juzzie’s latest two albums. Performing to people of all ages in a more clear environment is what created the sound of upbeat grooves and positive lyrics.
After recording his first solo album “Good Vibes” in 2004, Juzzie packed his small family into an old coaster bus to tour the markets of Australia. In Darwin, Juzzie was given a didjeridoo from world-class didj maker, Bob Druett. The didj joined the solo set up and Juzzies’ sound just got bigger and better. One year of travelling and a new baby on its way meant time to go back home to the North Coast of NSW. The latest album ‘Happy Daze’ was recorded in 2006 and released early 2007. Happy Daze is a collection of songs inspired from travelling around Australia and the journeys of life. Happy Daze has been used for surf films, nature documentaries and soon to be featured on the upcoming ABC TV series, ‘East of Everything’.
This year Juzzie plans to record another album, keep spreading his positive sounds at markets and festivals and tour overseas.
